About Learn with Emilia
10 stories: the ABCs, counting, colors, opposites, animal sounds, shapes, position words, weather, things that go and the five senses.
Ten playful early-learning stories. Each one shows a new idea, names it, and says it again in rhyme, then pauses for a "Your Turn!" round where little viewers shout the answers. Accuracy is the point: things are counted one at a time, colors are the true colors, shapes are drawn true, and animal sounds were checked before they were used.
The stories, in order
-
Emilia's ABC Adventure (10 min)
From A for apple to Z for zebra, Emilia jumps, splashes, stretches and giggles her way through all 26 letters of the alphabet, then sings the alphabet song. -
Emilia Counts Pumpkins (6 min)
It's pumpkin-patch day! Emilia fills her little red wagon one pumpkin at a time and counts every one, all the way up to a giant tenth pumpkin that is much too heavy to lift... but not too heavy to roll. -
Emilia's Rainbow Picnic (6 min)
Emilia packs a picnic with one food for every color: a red strawberry, an orange orange, a yellow banana, green broccoli, blue blueberries and purple grapes. Then a sun-shower paints a real rainbow over her blanket. -
Big and Little (5 min)
A park day with her animal friends teaches Emilia six pairs of opposites: big Miss Giraffe and little Pip, the seesaw with Dr. Hippo, a fast and slow swing, a loud lion and a quiet mouse, a full bucket and an empty one, and wet and dry. -
Who Said Moo? (6 min)
A guessing game on the farm! A moo from behind the barn, an oink from the mud, a quack from the pond... Emilia and the viewer guess who made each sound before every farm animal pops out. The last tiny squeak is a surprise. -
Emilia's Shape Hunt (5 min)
A treasure map leads Emilia around the house to six hidden shapes: a circle clock, a square window, a sandwich cut into triangles, a rectangle door, a star sticker and, at the end of the hunt, the treasure: a heart-shaped cookie. -
Where's Pip? (5 min)
Emilia and Pip play hide-and-seek. Is Pip under the bed? In the toy box? On the shelf? Looking for her sneaky bunny teaches six position words, and the viewer can see Pip hiding right behind her long before she does. -
What's the Weather? (5 min)
Every morning Emilia runs to her window to see the weather, and gets ready for it: a sunhat for sunny, cloud shapes for cloudy, a hat-chase for windy, boots and an umbrella for rainy, mittens and a snowman for snowy. -
Things That Go (6 min)
Emilia and Pip ride into town to see things that go: her own bike, a beeping car, a honking bus full of friends, a long choo-choo train, a tooting boat and an airplane zooming across the sky. And the traffic light says stop and go! -
Emilia's Five Senses (5 min)
One garden morning, Emilia discovers her five senses: she sees a butterfly, hears a bird, smells a flower, tastes a very sour lemon, and touches soft Pip and a prickly pinecone.
